Make an upcycled potting station from scrap wood in a single afternoon

I had an old shelf in my shed for about 8 years and decided to turn it into a potting station for my wife, complete with hidden storage. The design is loosely based on a design by Steve Ramsey that can be viewed here. The goal of the conversion was to try and use as much as the pre-existing material as possible to create the planting station, including the nails. In the end, I only ended up using an additional 2×4 for the legs.

The result is a heavily textured rustic feeling planting station that will survive for quite a while in the outdoor environment. Check the video reference here to see how it was made and consider making your own. If you do make one, be sure to tag @GeekBuilders, I would love to see everyone’s build.
